100% Whole wheat bread

Whole wheat bread – 100% whole wheat flour bread using tangzhong method.  I have tried wheat flour bread many times earlier, but never got a satisfaction . But  this  recipe gave me confidence that it will turn out good and IT DID!! This is the first time I am using tangzhong and it has given me a self confidence that I can also make good breads. 🙂 I was able to slice it thinly, it were not dense at all. It was soft yet firm. We made egg omlettes with it. I shall share that recipe later.  Let me quickly give the 100% whole wheat bread recipe here. Ingredients: For tangzhong Wheat flour – 2 and half tbsp water – 1/2 cup Other ingredients for bread Whole wheat flour-2 cups Instant dry yeast – 1 tsp Salt – 1 tsp Sugar – 2 tbsp Fresh cream – 3 tbsp Egg – 1 Oil – 1 tbsp Milk – 1/2 cup Method: To make the tangzhong, mix wheat flour and water and cook over medium heat till it becomes like a thick paste. Cinnamon buns | Cinnamon rolls | Kanelbullar

Cinnamon buns are rolled buns with cinnamon flavour in each bite 🙂 I was hesitant about cinnamon flavour in baked buns initially, But after tasting it in IKEA I started to like them . Hence gave it a try at home and it was great. I made it simply by using my bread dough as I tried  here , with cinnamon powder, butter and sugar mixed well and applied in the rolls. Ingredients for the filling, Melted butter – 1/2 cup Sugar – 3/4 cup Cinnamon powder – 2 tbsp Procedure is just simple , I prepared the bread dough and rolled it out into a large rectangle. Applied the butter liberally on the rectangle. Then mixed sugar with cinnamon powder and sprinked all over the buttered dough. I rolled the rectangle and then cut into small pieces but the shape wasnt so good. Then I cut lines on the rectangle as below, and then rolled the strips, now the shapes came out well. Chilli Bread

I have been wanting to try something with bread for quite sometime, other than bread upma or bread omlette. Found this chilli bread to be exciting with the flavors of capsicum and the different sauces that gave a chinese tint to it. Seeing the health quotient, hubby always prefers brown bread, this time it was loaded with ragi and oats too. So a much healthier version of bread. So lets quickly go thru the recipe of chilli bread !!   Ingredients for chilli bread: Whole wheat bread – 8 Butter – 2 tbsp Oil – 3 tsp Garlic – 7 Paprika – 2 Tomato – 1 Capsicum- 3 salt – as per taste Soya sauce – 1 tsp Tomato sauce – 1 tsp Chilly sauce – 2 tsp Chilly powder – 1 tsp Garam masala powder – 1 tsp Method: Toast all the bread slices with butter. Heat oil in a pan and saute chopped garlic . Add paprika and saute them with the garlic for few minutes. Then, add tomato and saute till it becomes mushy.
