Eggless Chocolate Cupcakes

Image
These eggless chocolate cupcakes are so so good, they are soft and yummy , I was surprised of the outcome the very first time I baked these, and every other time I baked it. It has always resulted in crackless top with a small dome. In my young age , I never knew that cakes can be made without eggs. As years passed by, I learnt that there are eggless cakes but those wont be as soft as the ones with eggs. But after trying out this recipe, I never tried any cakes with eggs. Believe me or not.. ! These eggless cakes are so soft and moist, they are not dense at all. I found this recipe  here  and it was so promising, that I wanted to try it the very same day. But I have made this many times now and everytime I have got wonderful cupcakes. Last month, I tried a two tiered birthday cake for my hubby with this same recipe and WE were all surprised , it stood tall like the ones bought from commercial bakers. I also tried chocolate collar around it, hope you like it too..    ...

Cinnamon buns | Cinnamon rolls | Kanelbullar

Image
Cinnamon buns are rolled buns with cinnamon flavour in each bite 🙂 I was hesitant about cinnamon flavour in baked buns initially, But after tasting it in IKEA I started to like them . Hence gave it a try at home and it was great. I made it simply by using my bread dough as I tried  here , with cinnamon powder, butter and sugar mixed well and applied in the rolls. Ingredients for the filling, Melted butter – 1/2 cup Sugar – 3/4 cup Cinnamon powder – 2 tbsp Procedure is just simple , I prepared the bread dough and rolled it out into a large rectangle. Applied the butter liberally on the rectangle. Then mixed sugar with cinnamon powder and sprinked all over the buttered dough. I rolled the rectangle and then cut into small pieces but the shape wasnt so good. Then I cut lines on the rectangle as below, and then rolled the strips, now the shapes came out well. You can see the difference in the buns pic below. Hahaha,,, I did not click step wise pics that day 🙂 Then placed them on the ...

Strawberry cupcakes

Image
Here I am again, with strawberry cupcakes this time!! Yummy cupcakes looking gorgeous with the strawberry whipped cream frosting and fresh strawberries. After finishing some of the strawberries from the farm with  strawberry jam  and  strawberry milkshake , I wanted to finish the rest with strawberry cupcakes.. Browsed through many recipes and all of them used artificial colors, which I was not satisfied of. Finally discovered  this  recipe which uses the  strawberry jam  as it has the fruit concentrate which gives the real color to the cakes. Satisfied with it, gave a try.. It turned out great .. Enjoyed it and here I am with my post on strawberry cupcakes. 😀 I could not use the strawberries in the cake , so used them for garnishing 😉 I prepared whipped cream frosting with few teaspoons of strawberry jam to get the strawberry flavored whipped cream. Finally topped them with some real strawberries. Ingredients for Strawberry cupcakes: Butter –...
